When should I make a reservation for a tuxedo rental?
We recommend the bride and groom visit one of our stores 4 – 6 months prior to the wedding to make their selections and register the wedding. Don’t forget tuxedos for the fathers, grandfathers and ring bearer.
 
When should I be fitted for my tuxedo?
For weddings, we recommend fittings be done at least one month prior. However, if the wedding is during the peak season (April/May/June), fittings should be done by the end of March. Single orders should be fitted as soon as possible.
 
Do I need an appointment?
We highly recommend setting up an appointment to choose your styles for your wedding, or if you’re bringing a group to be measured.
 
Most of my wedding party is out of town. How do you get their measurements?
For your convenience, we provide you with out-of-town measurement cards. They should be completed by any formalwear
specialist near your party members’ locations. They can then be sent to our store via email, fax or mail, or you can fill out our
online measurement form.
 
How much is the deposit for a tuxedo rental?
We require an advance payment of $30 at the time of the fitting, or when the reservation is placed. Cash, Visa/MasterCard and personal checks are accepted for deposit. We do not accept out-of-town checks at the time of pickup.
 
When will the tuxedo be ready for pickup?
Normally, orders are ready two days prior to the event. Some special orders will not be ready until one day prior to the event.
 
When should the tuxedo be returned?
Tuxedo rentals are due back the next day. Saturday events require a Monday return. Our Kalamazoo store is open on Sunday
for your convenience.

What does “black tie” mean on an invitation?
This means that the required attire is formalwear, usually black in color. The tuxedo is worn with a formal shirt; vest, tie or cummerbund; and formal shoes. The tie does not need to be black, but rather color selection should be tasteful and elegant.
 
Are there any rules for proper etiquette in formal attire?
Yes, never where a “white tie” before 6:00 pm and never wear a Cutaway Coat or Stroller after 6:00 pm.
 
Can I change my order once it has been placed?
You may change your order up to one week prior to the event. Once the order has been assembled, there is a $5 change fee for each change. Please note, however, that special order items cannot be changed after one week prior to the event.
 
Is there a cancellation fee?
Once the reservation has been placed, there is a $20 cancellation fee.
 
Do you have tuxedos for sale?
Yes, we offer retail tuxedos from top designers such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, which feature Super 100's quality weave fabrics, and After Six, which features wool blend tuxedos. We also have used retail tuxedos available that are just as stylish and durable as their non-used counterparts. Please call one of our stores for more information.
